How to Borrow
Borrow from a Mobile Library volunteer in the GBC Holland Park courtyard after the first morning service Give the books or DVDs you wish to borrow to the library volunteer at the Mobile Library, who will lend them out to you. Please note: If the Mobile library is unattended, you can self checkout books and DVDs using our online Self Checkout form on your smart phone. Please read the form carefully and follow the illustrated instructions step-by-step. (More information below)
Borrow from the Church Librarian The Church Librarian is often in Library Room 2 (the Pre school Sunday School Room) after the second service and is available to lend out books & DVDs, renew books, accept returned books & DVDs, and assist in finding the desired book or DVD.
Self Checkout if neither a Mobile Library volunteer nor the Church Librarian is available The church uses a combined manual and computer based system for lending books. The church librarian matches book cards against digital loans to ensure loan information on the computer is accurate and complete. The book cards are also a hardcopy backup of the loan record.
DVDs To self checkout DVDs, please borrow ONLY the black & white DVD case in the wooden box attached to the Mobile Library, following the procedures listed below. Please place the colour display case in the Returns Box. To borrow DVDs from the shelves in Library Room 2, please contact the Church Librarian to have them put aside for you.
STEP 1 Take the book card out of the book or DVD* (The church librarian needs to match the book card to the digital loan to ensure she has full borrowing information) * See STEP x re DVDs.
STEP 2 On the card, neatly PRINT in UPPER CASE your (or your child's) FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, borrower barcode number if you (or your child) have one (see STEP 5 below) and today's date.

STEP 3 Place the completed book card in the red "Book Cards" box. This box can be found
